On Saturday, September 9th, MedicAlert Team Members and their families attended the Modesto, California Walk to End Alzheimer’s event at the Graceada Park neighborhood. It was a beautiful morning to be out in our local community walking for such an important cause, and supporting our partners at the Alzheimer’s Association.
Each year, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.
MedicAlert was honored to sponsor the Promise Garden at the Modesto event. Our team had a great time being involved in distributing flowers to walk registrants who wrote personal messages on a flower that represented their personal experience with the disease. In addition, throughout the event, we were able to provide free MedicAlert enrollments and IDs to approximately 60 attendees.
A big shout out to our MedicAlert Minions Team who were one of the top fundraising teams at the walk, raising over $3000.00 in just five weeks towards the cause. And, a huge thank you to Monet Hilberg for her enthusiastic efforts in spearheading the MedicAlert team and our related fundraising event.
