6 year-old Savannah keeps mom Lacey on her toes year round while being involved in an active schedule of participating on the hip hop dance team, playing soccer, AND is currently an orange belt in karate.
One would never realize this energetic kindergartener lives with moderate asthma and has Absolute IgA Deficiency- the most commonly found immune system deficiency disorder.
With the 24/7 protection of her MedicAlert Kid Smart bracelet, Savannah’s parents have the peace of mind in knowing her underlying medical conditions will be made known to first responders during an emergency when they may not be there to speak for her.
“I know MedicAlert is just a phone call away should Savannah ever need help. It’s like a guardian angel watching over her,” says mom, Lacey.
Lions- MedicAlert Children’s Program
It is thanks to the generosity of our donors that many children like Savannah living with medical ailments, can experience an active childhood, knowing they will receive immediate and proper treatment should an emergency occur.
MedicAlert and local Lion’s Clubs have teamed to ensure all children living with medical conditions are afforded the opportunity to have 24/7 protection in the form of a kids MedicAlert ID and our Emergency Response services.
This special program offers the protection and security of a MedicAlert medical ID and service at NO COST to the parents/guardians, the school, or the school district. Our program is funded through the generosity of Lions Clubs and their members. MedicAlert launched the program in our hometown of Turlock, California and continues to expand rapidly throughout the region.

● Speak for the child when the child cannot.
● Support the products and services the parent may not be able to afford.
● Save precious time during an emergency, meaning the difference between life and death.
