Family Notification

MedicAlert® members and their families benefit from our reliable 24/7 support network. In any emergency, your child's medical care is the greatest priority and family notification may often be overlooked; however, MedicAlert Foundation® understands the importance of reuniting our members with their family and friends.

Our Emergency Response Center’s first priority is to communicate your child's vital medical information to emergency responders and medical personnel to ensure their safety. Our next priority is family notification. We will immediately notify you about your child's condition and whereabouts.

The Family Notification service provides:

  • Immediate information about your child's situation and location
  • The comfort of knowing you will stay informed
  • The flexibility to quickly and easily change your child's emergency contact list as you see fit

Ever since we got our son a MedicAlert ID, we have a layer of security knowing that in case of an emergency, even though he cannot speak for himself, MedicAlert will speak for him. If he ever wanders, whoever finds him can call the 800 number and we will be contacted by MedicAlert immediately. This adds a sense of protection to our family.
