Why is Kid Smart® Important?
Children are the most vulnerable persons in our society, especially during a medical emergency or crisis. Safe guarding your children’s health and safety is our priority. That is why MedicAlert has partnered with the PTA to introduce the Kid Smart
program at a special discount only for PTA members. With the rise in childhood diabetes, asthma and allergies, thousands of children have a medical condition, allergy or special need that should be communicated to medical personnel in an emergency. The Kid Smart
program has been created to provide these children with the 24-hour protection of the MedicAlert emergency information services.
During the school day or in daycare, your child will interact with many different individuals and may be exposed to a variety of situations that could result in the need for emergency care. It could be at recess, at lunch, in the classroom, at a friend’s house or at the playground. Parents tell us that they want to ensure that vital medical information about their child is readily available and can be accurately communicated in an emergency.
