“I am happy to be a part of an organization who after all these years still keeps our founder’s mission at its forefront- to protect and save lives.”

Our story began almost 60 years ago in the farming community of Turlock, California. Dr. Marion Collins had a vision of protecting and saving lives worldwide. He was heard saying on more than one occasion, “We are not here to make money. We are here to save lives.”

Dr. Collins and his family demonstrated that commitment by investing their own money in the first few years MedicAlert was established, while also contributing countless hours of volunteer time. The “mail room” for MedicAlert in the early years was their family room.

Today, we are proud to continue providing reliable, life-saving services to millions of our members worldwide. Throughout the decades our technologies, services, and products have continued to evolve.

Our MedicAlert family has a longevity of dedicated individuals who have been a part of our foundation's transformations and growth over the past several years. With their belief in our mission, they come together each day to provide the exceptional services found behind your bracelet.

“I began working for MedicAlert 38 years ago. I love my job! I am proud and blessed to be both a MedicAlert employee and MedicAlert member. “After being with MedicAlert for 17 years, I still enjoy what I do. With every call that I receive, I know I am helping our members to feel safe and help giving them the peace of mind in knowing that we will be speaking on their behalf when they cannot. We know how crucial each moment is during an emergency. Saving lives is our mission and I take pride in being a part of this giving and wonderful organization.” Maria Davoudpour- Member Service Associate

“In over 20 years with this wonderful organization, not a day goes by that I don’t feel blessed to be a part of a service delivery model that protects and saves lives.” Melody Howard- Vice President of Contact Center Operations

“I’ve had the opportunity to serve our members since I first began my career with MedicAlert 27 years ago. Answering the emergency line and helping emergency responders assist our members in an emergency is my primary job and I am still as passionate about it today as when I first started.

I have been a part of some major changes, such as technology innovations, new products, and enhancing our services. Yet some things have remained the same, such as our commitment to speaking for our members during an emergency when they cannot speak for themselves. I am happy to be a part of an organization who after all these years still keeps our founder’s mission at its forefront- to protect and save lives.” Patti Vieira- Emergency Response Specialist

“After more than 24 years with MedicAlert. I have seen many changes in technology. I’ve read micro fiche, worked on DOS based computers and now I’m able to use up-to-date computer systems. It’s been an incredible journey here and I am blessed to have been through several decades with such a wonderful organization.” Dawn Lewis- IT Quality Analyst

“I have been with MedicAlert for 30 years now. Working for MedicAlert means we continue to protect and save lives the way Dr. Collins envisioned when he first began the organization almost 60 years ago. Of course technology and services have changed from manual Rolo-Dex emergency info cards to computerized emergency medical records. When I first started working for MedicAlert, a RUSH order would take up to 2 weeks to get shipped out. And would take 6 weeks to get a regular product order out the door. Today, orders are shipped within 24-48 hrs.” Martha Bamber- Production Associate

"I have worked for MedicAlert for over 17 years. As a Call Center Associate I have always loved speaking with our members from all over the United States in order to make sure they have best information listed in their Emergency Medical Information Record. I take great pride in being a part of such a well known organization whose mission is to provide life saving information for our members." Faye Bettencourt- Member Service Associae
