Mr. Blount has over 20 years of diverse customer focused, sales, management and business operations experience with both Fortune 100 and smaller, fast growth companies in the high-tech manufacturing and services industries. He has direct agency and client experience.
He most recently served as Vice President, Salesforce.com where he managed the America’s agency business for the company’s Marketing Cloud division. Prior to that he served as Senior Vice President, [email protected] a division of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide where he served as digital leader of technology and healthcare business. Prior to joining Ogilvy, he was Director of Social Analytics and Insights at WCG responsible for leading various technology, healthcare, and consumer related accounts. His brand experience includes companies like General Mills, Warner Brothers, Pfizer, Intel and extensive experience at Dell Inc.
Blount has been working with the healthcare industry to help brands maximize the potential of using social media to improve how we communicate to both patients and healthcare professionals. He is considered a thought leader and is an active member of several online healthcare related communities. He’s personal passion is the combination of wearable technology and healthcare. Building a community around #DisruptiveHC (Disruptive Healthcare) where people come together to learn and share examples of what they are doing to create a positive disruption in healthcare.
Mr. Blount has worked for Dell, Inc. for 14 years (1991 – 2001 and 2005 – 2009) holding several senior-level positions in various capacities encompassing business development, sales and forecasting, executive staffing, sales operations, service logistics, Global Consumer Care & Technical Support organization. He was Head of Dell Americas Commissions and Incentive Administration Operations accountable for the strategic management, administration and execution of Dell’s variable compensation programs with over 37 different plans & 4,000 people. Prior to that Mr. Blount was Sr. Manager / Executive Recruiter to the Office of the Chairman which included the President / Vice Chairman and their respective staffs. Other positions included Business Operations, Regional Leader for SAP deployment – Asia / Japan Regions, Sales Operations and Sales Management.
In his final year at Dell, he was focused on Global Internal Communications where he created an employee brand ambassador program focused on educating employees through product passion road shows and igniting the passion from within the company while delivering bottom line results in employee retention.
